Just when we thought things couldn`t get much worse in totalitarian state Britain, another bombshell explodes.

The petition is on the 10 Downing St website but they didn't tell anybody about it. Therefore at the time of Sarah's comments (on BBC Radio 2 broadcast) only 250,000 people had signed it and 750,000 signatures are required for the goverment to at least take any notice.
Once you've given your details (you don't have to give your full address, just house number and postcode will do), they will send you an email with a link in it. Once you click on that link, you'll have signed the petition.
The government's proposal to introduce road pricing will mean you having to purchase a tracking device for your car and paying a monthly bill to use it. The tracking device will cost about £200 and in a recent study by the BBC, the lowest monthly bill was £28 for a rural florist and £194 for a delivery driver. A non working mother who used the car to take the kids to school paid £86 in one month.
On top of this massive increase in tax, you will be tracked. Somebody will know where you are at all times. They will also know how fast you have been going, so even if you accidentally creep over a speed limit in time you can probably expect a Notice of Intended Prosecution with your monthly bill.

It appears the democracy is becoming tolitarian. You folks across the pond have to have your every move monitored, now I hear your government wants to take your kids away if they are over-weight. My oldest son, who is in t he U.S. Air Force (going on 19 years) was stationed in England in 1998,and he told me about the tracking cameras up all over the place and the strict gun control. He also said that we, here in America should keep an eye on what happens in the UK because it will come here. He was right, because now, more and more cities here are putting up tracking cameras, I have heard talk about requiring all cars to have global tracking and engine "kill" switches.
The Governor of Texas, just took it upon himself to make it mandatory for all girls as young as seven to be innocculated against a sexually transmitted virus yhat causes cervical cancer (the vacination is good, but the fact that it is mandatory without having had any public debate first is wrong), other states are thinking of doing the same thing.
Just today, an official in New York city has proposed a law that would make it a crime to be using iPods, Blackberries or palm pilots when out walking on the streets of New York city.
They already passed a law making it illegal for resturants to cook using oil that contains transfats.
What is happening to our freedoms? My God, the government on all levels are sticking their noses into every aspect of our lives, and it is not just here and in the UK, it is happening in every democratic country. I fear that we are being pushed right into a "ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT" like it or not.
